About the research
The Ármann Snævarr research institute of family issues, is currently conducting a research about bullying among children in Iceland.
The research is inter-disciplinary, which involves bullying being researched from the viewpoint of law, social counseling and education sciences.
Conclusions were presented in the fall 2011.
Purpose and objective
The research is aimed to synchronize and strengthen expertise on bullying and to obtain a more complete overview of the real situation in this matter amongst children in elementary schools in Iceland.
The research project is financed with a grant from the Bent and Margrét Scheving Thorsteinsson relief fund.
